How To Set Up A Die Cut Business Card or Sticker in Adobe Illustrator | Clubcard TV !!!
the hello
my name is Michael from club card and today I'm going to show you how to
create proper separations for die-cut hang take in Adobe Illustrator How To Set Up A Die Cut Business Card or Sticker in Adobe Illustrator | Clubcard TV !!! per stuffer gonna start by naming our document college Dikeh
going to need one are bored I'm gonna make it
two-inches' by three and a half inches high with the plea
inches
or eight the village CMYK color mode address turf except the three other ppl
get ahead okay and now we create our first layer
recall this front and bring in artwork for the print
high quality online printing here have their work for the front side now we're gonna go
create a second player locked the first or call the second one
dial-in right
this is where we'll bring the dial-in into alright so now at goddard I
aligning
on the dial on prime player they can see that there's an eighth of an inch
for border between our artwork and the dial-in here
this is so when the dyes their the card is cut out
not have your work gets cut off we also know that we have a whole here
this will be so the we can hang this text once its kind o
know if you wanna lead on the front side you wanna make sure it
extends beneath the vintage past this cutler or the dialogue
but will get that to that on the backside gonna go ahead and hide
the front and front Island layers and create two new layers
one is going to be our back side and the second will be the dye line for the back
but
Spiller right ship alright their ego
now will start the dial in back we're gonna grab the artwork from front side
copia and pasted
onto the back now the back side is going to be a mirror image of the front side
and to get a mirror image of this he just select your object
no object transform and reflect
gonna reflective vertically and there you go you have a mirror image
for the backside I'm gonna go ahead and locked the dial in on the back
paster work for the back side this is our word
they can see that we have a bleed on this so it extends
the Vonage
pastor trim line and additionally all over text is one-eighth of an inch
in from the tramlines this is so if the trim fluctuates at all
none ever text for critical graphics will be cut off
now im gonna go ahead locked this layer
thank you to the dial I'm back when you submit your artwork
you'll need to submit a dial-in for the one side so in this case
we're gonna submit the dial out front no I'm gonna go ahead and save three
separate files for print
one for the back one for the dial I'm and one for the front let's start with
the back
logo file save a copy will call us
die-cut back
save it as a PDF save
and now we're gonna go with the illustrator default settings
where there is no compression it all says do not down sample
and we're gonna at saint remarks and ensure that the bleed
is checked everything else can be left his
as the default no color conversion no conclusion
profiles and all these
you shouldn't have to worry about so it's a PDF
then there you go there's the backside now will go back into Word document
hide the back show the dial-in will say that I line
noting that this is the front side save a coffee
we'll call this dieter
front die line
save it as a PDF say
again the city it should retain the settings from the previous PF to give
say
no down sampling got a charmer we've got her bleed
and no color conversion go ahead and hit save
there's you die line for the front now
for the last one we'll see if our
front side file save a copy and we will call this
die cut trent
save as PDF that the two
again should retain all your previous settings
everything looks good sure marks leave you
good to go it's a and there you go
now you have proper separations for a die-cut hang taker card
and the fire print ready files we hope this video has been helpful
