hey guys so today I'll be showing you how to make your very own business cards at home business cards are great way the easily and professionally DIY Business Cards | XO PIXEL !!! exchanger contact information on the go you never know we might run into here are some business cards that I created this design is simple yet pretty effective I used a very clean edge business card paper if you have an inkjet printer remember to check if the paper is inkjet compatible the template I'm using is $

then I throw in my email address website and then but whatever you want again this font size I've tested and it's perfect for what I need .nom.co still some colors of their logo that I im using month and to also keep in mind is to print out a sample actually choose colors because sometimes cause will look really nice on your monitor but once you printed it's either too dark for tonight and you want to change it to make it the perfect the printer can be pretty cruel so what looks good on your monitor does not mean it's going to look great when sprinted here I just modify the baseline to make the space in a little bit more presentable and develop this big open space between that left and the right side I just created a vertical line 1 pixel and then treat and make it I light grey and that helps to even out the two ends now this line is not centered as hell just visually centered so if your pics a perfect any person you might wanna mess with that a little more than I did was pushed around the text in a bit before I put it on the final touches so to finish off the front I'm just going to adequate bar to the bottom I feel with the dark grey they stole from the font color and then I and a drop shadow which has a percent hardness enjoy a few pixels wide and I made that the green a the text so which I want to do is print this out as always going to stress that over and over and make sure that the with this line is to your liking one thing that I failed to mention earlier is that this document is dot a web document which is normally
guy DPI or whatever this is a resolution of and you can one to almost always have it about when you're printing something that's just a lot more dots per inch some may argue that is a little too extreme but that's kinda the common practice for printing stuff so now I just group all these front files into a folder called front and then create a new layer and this will be starting on the back side of it here is going to have a nice big front that says pizza for life and then underneath that is going to be tagline I just made it up you have my permission to say anything that you want on your business cards you're welcome every know what size I need is to be and what fun I want to use for the pixel for life I'm using it fun today broke my name in and then for the tagline I am using the front that I used for the phone number and all that I am just going too fast for through this part because I was messing with the colors and i ended up not using it but I thought I would leave it in there because eight you should see my mistakes the reason decide not to go with this is because it didn't seem to match the rest at the cart want to keep should back kind light here got the idea to throw my logo in it on the corner kinda like my portfolio website I'm working on I hope I finish sometime soon but that gave me the idea to lighten up to background lightening up the background required me to change the color for the pics of her life and and then I also found out that the logo on the bottom left was little too vibrant so I brought down the opacity by doing that became the idea to duplicate this all over that one-sided the card so I created a smart object so if I ever have to go back and edit this logo it will be quick and easy and then one thing to keep in mind is to make sure that the logo or your image goes of the side of the card it was passed that room area so when they cut it does not come in white spaces I just art duplicating this resizing it I didn't want to rotate it cuz I want to keep the same straight lines directions that that logo was going I just kept on going until it made me smile soon other front and the back or card is complete now when my step is to save this out so the front is one file in the back as one file to do that I just hide tough election to lead though front side and then control shift aster whatever save as a new file say that as business card front and then I control should the to step back I did then till that folder came back and then I deleted the front and kept the back folder and do the same steps AVS business card back that way you're left with three files one is just the front of the card and one is just the back of the card here you can see the files from talking about on my desktop and these are the ones that we are going to be uploading to the Sprint are now comes the part that actually a little bit richer than it should be it is uploading your images to Vistaprint to create your own custom business card so feel free to hold my hand as we go through this so you don't get lost and let's get started so click on the choose File button right over here and click on the front your business card which is gonna have your name and contact information now we just wait for it to upload here we can see a preview of what our business card looks like and then you can click on next here you can add some content if you want I'm still new plant because did all the content in Photoshop here is me trying to figure out how to upload the background image or the back image of the card really confusing I'm not sure why so what you end up having to do is on the bottom right click on the button that says backside now on the left side you can click on the button that says choose File and they can choose the PSD that has your background image once again we have to wait for to upload this window it allows you to crop the photo if you want but since we made this to size I'm still leave it as is and click OK now you can accept that online proof agreement and and click Next and that's all there is to it and I was gone and tutorial there I'm not gonna go ahead and order these cuz information's wrong anyways but one team I want to do is look through this advertisement makes you click through because sometimes are some stuff that you get for free like free pens or Stamper you get some pretty nice things and it'll have your name on it so it's kinda cool have I mean who would enjoy a pen with your own name or website on it feel free to say some nice things about me below and if you have any critiques don't sam no I'm skating I am happy here and critics it you might have he have any tutorial request live below or send me a PM and don't forget to subscribe thanks for watching and see you next time

Add subtitles/CC hello there I'm artist Aaron retin this is a follow up video to my tutorial on how to create business cards with Photoshop in this video I'm gonna show you how to print your business cards at home Printing Business Cards At Home (Photoshop Tutorial) !!! so I have a very simple card design here that I created in Photoshop and to print these at home what we want to do is we want to take this card and we want to place it on a standard size sheet of paper so I'm going to go to File New wanna make my with
inches but my high eleven-inches' and the resolution will be print service to this is our standard sheet of paper here in America your sheet of paper might be different if you live in another country if your enemies online you would normally leave an eighth of an inch bleed along the edges for the incomplete over but interpreting at home let's create a border so we know where to cut in this case what I'm going to use I'm going to create a new layer on a call at border on a select white and is Phyllis with white using shift f to fill I'm gonna change the blend mode team or the client only quite disappear that I'm going to at an affect down in the Layers palette 4-stroke gonna put that through on the inside and i wanna make it pretty small it's just say one pixel monster in the opacity down a little bit she'll just barely be able to see this line and that will help you when you're cutting these cards so let's go and bring this card over to our sheet of paper it looks right click on the group but she's duplicate group love it untitled-1 that's that new document if we go over there will see that it's now been placed so the goal here is to fit as many cards as we can on this one sheet of paper to have this one card if I hold alt and I drag I can drag a clone I hold alt and shift together that will keep it from moving up or down so I wanna do as I just wanna slap one card to the edge of the other card on a select both the scarred by holding SHIFT an a-hole open shift again and drag gonna be that multiple times just to create as many cards as I can to look like I can get about cards on this page of paper now we don't want them to be right on the edge because there's going to be a little bit have a margin more printer won't put me Inc around the edges the paper someone dislike all those cards together going to group them into a single group and I'm just going to go ahead and center that on the page that way there's a little bit margin around the edges now it's a lot easier just to go ahead and order cards online because the real hassle isn't really in printing the cards it's in cutting the cards at the very least you'll have to use some scissors and I guarantee you your cards are not going to come out straight even if you have really steady hands on your really good with scissors you can use a paper cutter which has a straight edge in will make things a lot easier but again you might miss a little bit if this area and you might have a little bit a border showing your one card might be bigger than the other he can get specialty prefered paper for business cards but it may require that you follow a particular tutorial to get a line up on the page and then when you tear the cards of they have a little bit of a jagged edges he would imagine perforated paper would to recommend to avoid putting these on your own because in my experience that's difficult you can order cards from Vistaprint or Zazzle where you can go to a local printer like FedEx Kinko's na make things a lot easier but if you want to print at home that's fine I'll go ahead and continue showing you how to do that so next time going to go to File and print now let's take a look at some of our print settings you wanna make sure that the printer you're using is selected mine is you can choose a number of copies and this can be one copy want to lay out to be upright as it is here in portrait mode months click on print settings you want to select the paper type I'm using HP bright white paper but you may be using something like a thicker specialty paper free any printing on cardstock I recommend that you print on cardstock because a regular piece a paper will be too floppy and and too fragile you can choose the quality settings for using a pretty simple design you might want to use a drafter better if you're using a more photorealistic designer something with a lot of colors you know what she's best and then of course if you're pretty in black and white shoes black and white if not then choose color it's just going to be a print for demonstration purposes and I don't wanna waste my inks on this gonna print in black and white as a draft click on OK and then we'll go ahead and click Print now it's going to say that the image is larger than papers printable area some clipping will occur don't worry about that because we've left this nice margin along the edges so we can just click on proceed alright so there you have it that's how you can print your business cards at home if you find this information helpful a quick second to like this video and if you enjoy all these free tutorials are making going over to feature on dot com slash aaron Rowand and make a donation to help me continue making videos like this possible thanks for watching and I'll see you next time
